In Standard Toad
The Formatter Plus formatting component in Toad has been replaced with Quest Parser version 5 (QP5). This provides formatting for new Oracle functionality, and some additional syntax, such as complex DDL statements. Because of this change, however, some formatting options have been moved and the same procedure formatted with the different components may be flagged as different if you perform a find differences on them. In this case the diff will not display source code changes, but formatting changes.
One way around this is to check out all the source code, reformat it with the new formatter, and check it all back in. This provides you with a one-time check in that is only formatting changes. All diffs beyond that will be source code differences. See Formatting Options: Changes for more information.
Toad Action Palette has been expanded into the AppDesigner. Action Sets have been replaced with ToadApps. With the addition of new actions, you can now create mini-applications that let you automate Toad functionality.
Note: This functionality is now located under the Utilities menu.
Actions and Apps can be added directly to your toolbar for easy access.
You can now Generate test data for your databases directly from the Schema Browser, Create table, and Alter table windows.
Extract a new procedure from existing code.

The Trace File Browser lets you find and monitor your Oracle Trace files.
You can now Execute RMAN scripts from Toad. There are five templates provided, and you can add your own.
